Norwich Science Festival (NSF) is an annual celebration of science, technology and innovation. Presented by The Forum and a team of six dedicated members of staff, the Festival is focused on showcasing the world-renowned and ground-breaking research in STEMM (science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine) that happens here in the East of England.
Each year we animate the city with an exciting programme of talks, performances, shows, workshops, immersive experiences and more! We work closely in partnership with the University of East Anglia and Norwich Research Park, and with partners all over Norwich and Norfolk.
At the very heart of the Festival is The Explorium at The Forum – a free offer in which families can explore science through hands-on activities, games and challenges from our 100+ exhibitors.
We had an incredibly successful year in 2025, with 75,000+ visits, 10,300+ tickets booked and more than 230 events delivered - featuring everything from the science of dance to all the wonders of space! The Festival first launched in 2016, and in the ten years since, we’ve been proud to bring a whole host of amazing speakers to Norwich - including Hamza Yassin, Dr Jane Goodall, Steve Backshall, Chris Packham and Prof Alice Roberts.
The Festival also delivers a year-round programme of activity. We offer a Learning Programme for primary children – this year reaching 6,230+ pupils in 38 schools – and a community engagement project that takes science out into areas of Norwich that are underrepresented at the main Festival.
