The North East England Tourism Awards play a major role in showcasing the fantastic range of high-quality experiences we offer for visitors here in the North East.
Our local categories expand the boundaries of which businesses can enter the awards to give even more regional tourism superstars the chance to shine and celebrate their achievements. The awards have a hugely positive impact on tourism in the North East, providing a benchmark for all businesses to aspire to and delivering significant benefits to shortlisted and winning businesses alike.
Please note that these awards are not linkedto the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence and winners of our regional categories (Independant Tourism Business of the Year, Cultural Venue of the Year, Rising Star of the Year or Festival or Event of the Year) will not progress to the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence. You may also not enter anybody who has already been entered in the Unsung Hero Award in Rising Star of the Year.

About the North East England Tourism Awards
The North East England Tourism Awards are the official VisitEngland accredited awards celebrating the region’s visitor economy. The awards programme is organised by the region’s destination marketing agency Experience North East England alongside Local Visitor Economy Partnerships Visit NewcastleGateshead, Visit County Durham, Visit Northumberland, Visit Tees Valley and all seven local authorities that come under the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority.
