About the Festival/Event
Bakewell Country Festival is a modern hybrid event: it combines elements of much-loved traditional agricultural shows with local conservation and diverse family entertainment, placing strong emphasis on local suppliers, producers, businesses and organisations.

The Festival, organised by charity Bakewell Agricultural & Horticultural Society, has been running on Bakewell Showground for three years, in which time it has gone from strength to strength, cementing itself as a popular and affordable annual day out.

The Society is committed to supporting the land-based sector of the rural economy, so money raised through the Festival helps fund its Training Grants Scheme. The scheme is open to individuals of all ages involved in agriculture, horticulture or forestry within 30 miles of Bakewell.
