Founded in 2005, Y Not started life as the overspill of a house party hosted by a small group of friends in Derbyshire.

Y Not has since grown into one of the UK’s leading medium-sized festivals welcoming 30,000+ attendees annually, combining the intimacy and spirit of an independent event with the scale and ambition of a major production.

The ethos is simple: create a weekend where music discovery, community, and unforgettable headline moments collide. Showcasing international headliners, breakthrough acts, and grassroots talent alongside comedy, food, arts, and family programming.
