The Battle of Evesham

A free to enter, spectacular and colourful two-days of medieval mayhem, with up to 25 mounted knights and 1,000 re-enactors performing in Europe’s largest c13th battle festival of the year.

GRAND PARADE. All re-enactors and mounted knights parade through the streets of Evesham, lined by thousands of cheering families, leading to a commemoration service at the grave of De Montfort in Evesham Abbey.

PROF ALICE ROBERTS, headlines the presentation pavilion, with many academic authors and musicians. The festival has 150 artisan, food & drink trade stalls, plus large Living History camps, with demonstrations of medieval crafts, cookery and medicine. The main Battle Arena includes archery, cavalry, dancing, trebuchets and two massive battles over a weekend of family fun.
